Our Academic Partners

IES Abroad

As of Fall 2014, Global Players is excited to partner with IES Abroad (Institute for the International Education of Students). Through strategic and customized programming this alliance aims to help further diversify study abroad by targeting the underrepresented study abroad demographic- student-athletes.

IES Abroad Mission

"IES Abroad strives to provide premier study abroad programs for U.S. students that deliver the highest quality education while simultaneously promoting development of intercultural competence."

IES Abroad Vision

The IES Abroad's vision for the future remains connected to the original IES Abroad program in 1950...a world filled with interculturally competent leaders who have both the understanding and skills to effectively, humanely, and positively navigate across different cultures, in politics, education, business, or the non-profit sector."

IES Philosophy

IES Abroad is committed to placing the interests of their students first, to the delivery of superior academic programs, and to providing excellent service to their students and educational partners around the world. These are their highest priorities.

IES Abroad believes transparency, best practices, and maintaining the integrity of their business principles are in the best interests of students, global academic partners, and the organization. The governance structure of IES Abroad features a system of oversight characterized by consortium member and third party driven checks and balances.

Our first IES Abroad/GP site is due to launch summer 2015 in Rio de Janiero.

CET Academic Programs

Global Players has recently united efforts with CET Academic Programs to offer a diverse academic curriculum at one of the Czech Republic's top universities.  We chose CET for their vast industry knowledge and appreciation for high quality academic programs and the commitment toward diversifying study abroad.

CET Academic Programs is a study abroad organization based in Washington, DC that has been developing and delivering innovative educational programs abroad since 1982. Originally “China Educational Tours,” CET began operations in Beijing, later expanding to other cities in China and then to other countries around the world. Today, CET is staffed by over 60 full-time employees and offers semester and summer study abroad programs in Argentina, Brazil, China, the Czech Republic, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Taiwan and Vietnam, as well as short-term, customized programs worldwide.

CET is known for high program standards, strong academics, a nimble and collaborative approach to partnerships, and supportive student services. As the only US provider to house students with local roommates in each of its locations, CET integrates students into their overseas communities and facilitates development of lasting relationships with local hosts. As an environmentally conscientious organization, CET seeks to adopt sustainable measures across its operations. And through its commitment to inclusion, CET seeks and encourages the participation of students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring a welcoming, hospitable program environment that promotes student learning.
